The Digital Health team at Nokia introduced a new sleep system at CES, and our friends at MKTG had an awesome idea for the booth design: create a custom bed and drop an 80" flat screen into it. Visitors to the booth would be able to watch someone go through the various stages of sleep while a separate display above the bed showed what the product was doing at all times. In addition to these two demo videos, they also needed a product overview video that could be shown on another wall in the booth.
Because the demo videos were going to loop over and over they had to be synchronized. This required perfect planning from the beginning of pre-production all the way through to shooting. Our director, J Walton, insisted on developing storyboards and animatics for each of the three videos so we knew exactly what footage we needed. That allowed our Producer, Irma Kollar, to tackle the next challenge: create a schedule to shoot all three videos in just one day.
All the careful planning paid off. In fact, we even wrapped the shoot day a little early. And because we handled casting, props, shooting, editing, and motion graphics under one roof we were able to roll with changes and keep to our tight schedule.
We love complex projects with a cool twist here at XYZ. Can’t wait to see what MKTG has in store for us next!
