CG Modeler / Technical Director

You can build everything from cars to creatures, hard and soft surface models and you aren't afraid to take your models to the next level with textures, UV’s, and lighting.
Daily Creative Work
- Modeling and texturing for complex 3D geometry of Environments, Architecture, Characters, Vehicles and Props to be used in production and print
- Designing and manipulating lighting and look development for computer-generated objects
- Working in collaboration with team members to achieve desired look of models throughout the development process
Required Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in a production environment in computer animation or visual effects; 3D Modeling and VFX lighting work with a strong portfolio to showcase your previous work product
- Full working knowledge of Maya as your main work tool and polygonal Modeling expertise
- Proficient use of Adobe Photoshop
- Use of UV layout, texture projections, and 2D texture painting in UV layouts
- Experience with Zbrush and/or Mudbox desired and Python or MEL scripting abilities a plus
- Experience in other areas of CG such as Storyboarding, Animation, and Compositing are additional nice to haves
- Strong passion for the details and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules and deadlines
- A creative approach to problem solving in a dynamic team-oriented environment with limited supervision
- Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
- Great communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to present ideas and solutions to many audiences including senior management and clients
- Can work cross functionally in many areas without being constrained by your job function
- Collaborative, upbeat work ethic where you can take ownership and have fun
Education
- Preferred - BS / BA in Film, Computer Graphics, Animation or Fine Arts
